If it just started happening could be because of the cold, I'm thinking maybe moisture somewhere, freazing? maybe possibly

mine does the same thing in cold as shit weather
literally takes 2-3 seconds for the clutch to spring back up when it is cold as shit
makes for some interesting/fun driving for the first 5-10 minutes

Your clutch fluid is cold as shit, thus it is more viscos, its going to take longer for it to flow through the lines to and from the slave cylinder.
You brake pedal might do the same thing too.
Now just think what its like for your engine if you have anything thicker than 0W or 5W in there on cold starts....

You dont need to replace it until it fails... which is rarely.

like ryan said, all this causes the earths climate to change, causing colder winters, hotter summers, hot snow to fall up etc. It all depends where you are located.

Sounds like your slave or master cylinder may be going. Keep an eye on your fluid levels and check for leaks.
