PostSubject: Clutch Question   Clutch Question Icon_minitimeJuly 13th 2009, 9:10 pm

hi.

Recently took my motor vehicle for a little drive after finally getting it up and going. As jon and i tried bleeding the clutch we got it to spring back, but it never quite felt right. After driving it it was very evident that the clutch was slipping. The wierd thing is that the clutch was recently replaced and looked good while out of the vehicle. Also, as i drove more, the clutch would grab better while cruising, but upon engagement into a new gear it would slip. I just cant understand why its starting to grab better than before. Maybe i should have bought a skyline GTR.

Question is: Is my clutch fucked? Or will it fix itself over time?

Yeah dawg, no problem bro.

Yeah id say its pretty rare. I mean once you drive on the LHD side you wont wanna go RHD cuz its just that much better. Its got 117 on the chassis, but the new engine only has about 5 k on 'er.

ok, chances are, you got some type of contaminent on the clutch surface. or the flywheel mating surface.
This is why you are supposed to wear gloves, and spray the surfaces down with brake cleaner before final assembly.

I never have to pay tickets....
This one was a speeding ticket, trying to impress 16 year old girls.
The cop was going the other direction, jumped the curb, and pulled my ass over.
