they cant make everyone export their cars out of the country or put them out of commission. given the number of rhds in canada now, its got to be in the high thousands heres the thing though... registered or not there is a loop hole that works in there favor...
cop pulls you over for no reason at all.... issues you a VI that you have 30days to do... but now since the gov't has told the inspectors " RHD are auto-fail" you will get 2 responses from DIF's 1) we dont inspect RHD 2) sorry you failed, now pay the inspection fee...
this leaves you with a vehicle you cant drive, cant sell cant do jack shizz with...
doesnt matter where you live in canada THIS WILL AFFECT YOU
this isnt just a skyline problem this is an entire RHD vehicle community problem and is CANADA WIDE
this will spread faster than the swine flu and be more devistating

| Thats what I was afraid of, based on seemly nothing, a ban that came out of no where screws how many people over. I feel for all the people that have bought cars but haven't received them yet, and the dealers that will heavily be effected by this.
To me this feels completely unfair especially how if it comes here, then I get pulled over and have to take my car in and it fails what will I do with the car? There is no one to sell it to.

| Quebec should fucking separate already.
But really, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, if people wanna drive a RHD, who cares? Why is it now the governments business?

| Why does it matter, if your car is here and plated you can sell it. All Montreal dealerships will just sell their cars off across Canada where they are still legal. Those of you who have all your JDM cars should be ecstatic, the value will skyrocket. | |

| Hey you guys!!! don't worry talked to my contact in japan he told me that sask use's RHD drive for safety for the parking meter, and he heard a roamer at his shop that sask, police force might be getting RHD cars for there crusiers instead of using the ford crown vic...(safety reason's when cops pull us over they get out and not have to face being killed by oncoming driver's) Crazy! power hungry 5 oo's driving supra's beefed up to 600HP still stock engines, makes cents. | |

had to be said. agreed, Where the fuck where they get parts for these? The reason they have CONTINUTED to use crown vics for police duty is that they have made heavy duty parts for them. All heavy duty bushing, ball joints, suspension doo-dads and what not. And where will they put the bad-guys? ask them politley to duck their heads as they try to crawl into the back seat? NEVER going to happen. Sorry to say. I do agree with the RHD beign safer in that sense though. The city of saskatoon uses RHD mitsubishi pajero or whatevers as a parking enforement.
