so i was watching a video in english about privacy nowadays and this "black box" thing came up. It said ever car that has airbags, has one, but only newer cars have started using them to collect data.
There was a case where a 43 year old man was drinking and driving in his 2005 Yukon. He hit a car which killed a mother and her two kids. Now his car was equipped with a "black box", and I guess once the airbags goes off, this box collected data of what the car was doing prior to the crash. The box read that he WAS speeding, the throttle WAS engaged fully prior to the crash, and the brakes were never used.
The guy got sentenced to jail for life with no parole.
