| And i found some additional carnage after I fixed the mechanical stuff. After driving it to work today, I found a few things weren't working. (like the rad fan, and a dim headlight) pulled out of there connectors and a couple of relays behind the drivers headlight were all smashed up.
Did some soldering today and everything seems functional now. I looked for more damaged wires, but didn't see any. Edit: Just noticed my ones side marker and park light don't work. SO more damaged wiring to find. | |

| yup. Laying serious consideration into doing some wiring tuck and clean up over winter. But then again car is a beater anyways, so not really worth the work. | |

| Had a fairly low-key weekend, and got to pound out a few projects on the jeep. Picked up my Novak cable shifter for my transfer case. It will be required for my Under Cover Fabworks "ultra-high clearance" aluminum skid plate. Now being a tummy-tuck set up Should really add alot of room as I wont be adding a body lift, so Ill have to do some clearancing of the budy tub. After our week-long trip, it came to my attention that I was at a desperate shortage of storage room, so i aquired an old reciever basket, removed the reciever portion, and drew up some quick plans for a quick release mounting system to attach to my rear tire carrier for future trips. The set up Im trying to avoid, as it put alot of weight out back and really altered my pinion angle for the trip: the idea got rid of my road-rashed front end, and front of fenders by sanding it all down and appplying some bedliner, as well as colour/clear coat matching it. After our trip, I destroyed my duratracs after a run in with a tree, so I sold them off, and picked up five 33x10.5 KM2 tires, these will have a much stronger sidewall and carcass, and a new set of teflon coated black aluminum wheels Also had a chance to sit down with a buddy tonight and design this as a way to store aluminum jerry cans inside the vehicle, to increase my 300km tank range haha | |

| some more shifter work. Changed the selector shaft for a new OEM one and finally put in that ABD short shift (45% shorter shift) and weighted rod. Also dropped nitrous bottle off at Vogt for another fill and added a Hobbs Switch adjusted to 10psi to the solenoid trigger, so won't get caught spraying between shifts again. Oh and changed my chewed up wheel flare for none chewed up one, and pulled the fender out a bit (one side catches the flair horrbily, the other almost never at all) and that little bit has seemed to stop the flare from hitting the tire. | |

| My new springs finally came in, as well, I recieved my shocks to accomodate my new ride height. Went from 6 inches of lift, to just under 4, due to the weight of the bumpers, winches, full sized spare, and other assorsted armor. The progressive springs ride fantastic, beyond what I ever expected for a Tj, Currie really lived up to their reputation on this product. I figurecd they all rode like garbage due to the short wheel base, but this set up proved that wrong. The monotube gas charged Bilsteins are mounted inverted in the rear,to clear my spring perches due to the rotated differential pinion. I installed a new Monster Heim joint in the rear, with high mis-alignment spacers to allow for more articulation of the rear trac bar. My front trac bar doesnt have enough adjustment in the heim joint to properly center my axle right now, so Im going to cut the bar shorter, and re-drill and tap the bar to poperly shorten it th correct amount. The new set-up is far more flexy, and it should help provide traction with my lack of a locker in the rear, and no traction-adder up front yet. | |
