well it is considerably better than the old 3.8, but its still slow to get going off of a red light without pushing the pedal close to the floor.

Did some work on my TT transmission. Shifter brackets are powdercoated, rest is in engine enamel.

It warms my heart to know that attention to detail is not a lost art. That looks fantastic. Nothing better than knowing everything is perfect, even if no one can see it.
Nothing worse than finding out someone had shitty craftsmanship after you buy a car. Like say discovering that a 5-lug conversion was performed half assed, nothing torqued, bolts missing ect ect.
on another note: Recieved my UnderCover Fab low profile solid transmission mount, and undercoverfab "bomb-proof" front diff cover
In the effort of saving time before the big trip, I chose the "finished" cover instead of the "builders" series one, in the idea of saving time of welding it all together, and the fact that I wont be able to get a refil of carbon dioxide or argon by saturday.

Massively blew a shift under spray, and with the new 75hp jetting. Well the room for error just wasn't there. The backfire blew the grill right off the car and flipped it up and off the windshield and onto the highway. Even bent the rad support out a bit.
Lost the rad, intercooler, and supercharger. I have a spare i/c and charger, current charger maybe repairable, have to get it apart first and assess the damage.
Kinda with a force like this.

Nitrous backfires can be pretty nasty.. I've wanted to run it on my mustangs, but a plastic intake manifold spells disaster

Well haven't done an update in quite some time and some of you don't see my instagram and facebook posts, yet lots has been going on slowly.
MUSTANG
3.5 months later my other 2 wheels showed up and this time un damaged!! just shitty that summer is pretty much over now.
Test fit them, but now with tires, turned out pretty aggressive, but not as bad as i thought they would.
Took them into Alberta wheel to see what could be done, unfortunately nothing as the minimum they like to have for mounting material is 5mm and that's what mine are at currently. So millwork on the wheels is not an option, it now comes down to fender work and different size tires.
I currently have my 255 35 20s for sale in hopes to buy some 225 35 20s as this will decrease my overall height my 20mm and width by a little over 30mm, by then I should be almost perfect and the rest i can get with a CLEAN fender pull.
Also snagged a good deal on a JLT Series 2 intake which I have been needing, my car is tuned but has stock intake plus a Saleen filter which is not the best setup.
More to come on this later in the year probably.
SILVIA
Allot more has happened with this since last update.
Obviously I got my motor in and running and my HKS front mount all plumbed in after cutting out battery trays etc, seems to run pretty good but I haven't had it out for a full run yet as I went to bleed my power steering and kept having issues with overflowing when I shut the car off(plenty of air coming into the system) after swapping pumps and inspecting lines I finally pulled the boots off the rack to see what no one likes to, which is tons of ATF pouring out.
So since my seals were shot on my rack I was on the hunt for a s14/15 rack which proved harder then I thought, luckily I was driving to Toronto from Calgary for a business trip, so while I was out there I met up with a guy and picked up a MINTY S15 rack out of a clip he tore apart.
Also on the way back I met a guy in Brandon ,MB for a S14 VSLD as my current VLSD was *correction.....wore the fuck out.
Before the rack and VLSD swap I did a battery relocation to the trunk, I did not want to lose the under hood boosting ability so I bought a positive terminal from greggs dist. and mounted it up so I can use it as positive and my chassis ground as my negative, also made 4 gauge grounds for my alternator, chassis, and engine/block grounds and soldered all connections to prevent corrosion.
Today I swapped my VLSD out to the new to me one, looks better but we will see how it performs. I also took my old rack out, as well as lines and stock PS fluid cooler they have (which is just a line ran outside the bay). I now have mounted all my S15 LP and HP lines as well as put in new Energy rack bushings and Powered By Max spacers while I was in there.
The last part of this setup was a PS fluid cooler, I got a old ATF cooler from the local wrecker and plumbed in the rest of the lines!, Wala!
Also a fun side project I picked up a Greddy Boost gauge and a HKS SSQV BOV from a local guy here but I needed a place to mount the gauge so I cut the bottom off a Sapporo beer can before it had been opened to make the mount for it, I seen this on a guys car he was selling on kijiji once and thought it was neat.
That's all for now!

Let me get this straight, your VLSD had some pretty beat clutch packs in it?

no but it is fucked and doesn't work well any more, I have never taken apart a VLSD, only a Traction Lok on a Ford which has clutches in it so I was not sure what was in it I just assumed.
so no not beat clutch packs, just a worn out VLSD.

just for the future, VLSD have viscous packs in them that expand with friction and lock the gear.

You're viscous.
I put the VW back together.
