| no one got tickets, just inspection tickets. Jordan's golf's reverse lights didn't work so he has to go fix them and show the cops, same with Brayden as one of his ballast were burnt out. Me and kyle were just harassed. Cops told me he would give me a $150.00 ticket if I didn't change my shift knob lol yet he never said anythign about my exhaust. haha | |

| ya it was really dumb, apparently the supervisor told us that there will be something passing for cops being able to do a decibel on "loud" cars. I can't see them holding up in court if someone goes to fight it tho... | |

yeah, are you kidding, mad haterz? when the vehicle regulations code is available to anyone to view, and then you dont follow them and the cop is nice enough to let you off, thats really hating. like really, how hard is it to make sure you have a shift pattern visible or make sure all your lights are working. didnt braden have a burnt out ballast last year and he still hasnt replaced it? like, i never got harassed once for illegal mods in my 180, i even went thru a stopcheck once and the cop was like "holy FUCK that is low man",i even scraped going into the parking lot, i just make sure all my shit is in good working order before i go out so it doesnt give them a reason to pull me over. - WReX wrote:

i would really like to know how you figure a decibel test wont hold up in court. its a digital reading of your exhaust noise level. - jdm_itr wrote:

cruisin vic now i guess lol i also suggest that everyone on here go through sgi's vehicle standard to find out if what you have is legal or illegal so you can tell that cop otherwise. there is not one car on this site i can think of that doesnt pass sgi's bumper law or headlight hieght law. "Bumpers are designed to absorb some of the crash impact and reduce intrusion, thus reducing collision damage and personal injury. On passenger cars, bumpers must be between 380 and 560 millimetres above the road surface. On trucks, the lowest part of the bumper can’t be more than 750 millimetres above the road surface. Bumpers must also have a vertical surface of at least 100 millimetres" it clearly does not state the LOWEST part of the bumper has to be 380mm on cars, just a part of the bumper has to be between 380-560 also steering wheels: A steering wheel must be at least 330 mm in diameter. This is a minimum of 13 inches across. The horn must be maintained and be within reach of the driver. it doent say that a steering wheel cant be modified, i dont know who would buy a wheel smaller then 330mm, thats nearing go-kart size. exhausts: National standards dictate that vehicles must be equipped with a muffler and exhaust system that reduces noise. Headers are permitted providing the rest of the exhaust system, including legal mufflers, is in compliance. An unrestricted exhaust system is not permitted. reduces noise compared to what - if it didnt have a muffler? then yeah an aftermarket cat-back reduces noise. study up, learn your rights. dont get tickets. http://www.sgi.sk.ca/sgi_pub/vehicle_standards/veh_mod.html

i would really like to know how you figure a decibel test wont hold up in court. its a digital reading of your exhaust noise level. "Under the standard, exhaust noise could not exceed a sound reading of 95-decibels at 3000 rpm in gear number 3 as well as in a fair and appropriate testing area."hence, doing a decibel test on albert street would not be considered a fair or appropriate testing area. I agree shift knob is something I've been warned about before and forgot about it. I'll get a shift patter sticker to put somewhere around the center console. - lu!$ wrote:

no no no it was just being picky last year, it started working once it got cold out and then finally 3 days ago it shit on me. Edit: also i dont get this part: Bumpers are designed to absorb some of the crash impact and reduce intrusion, thus reducing collision damage and personal injury. On passenger cars, bumpers must be between 380 and 560 millimetres above the road surface. On trucks, the lowest part of the bumper can’t be more than 750 millimetres above the road surface.
