SEMA 2011!!

i guess main question is who is all going? i know lots of people aren't due to Benoits wedding in Mexico this year.

i have been invited down by the Xpel guys from San Antonio, TX and could probably get a pass from them, but i think it would be more professional on my behalf if i registered for my own company.

do any of the experienced guys have some words of advice? i am mainly going for the networking with some of the product lines i carry, as well as just the personal pleasure of the show.

It appears (from the website) that its $200 to be an attendee, as well as an additional $75 per pass? is this right or am i reading it wrong.

anyways, just a noob looking for some tips.
and yes i know its early, just wanna plan ahead and commit now so i don't find an excuse to back in fall.

Registration is $25 a person if you register online before Oct 17th.

The only thing i see that is $200 is if you are a non-exibiting manufacturer. The $75 option would be if you just show up at the door and pay.

Im going to SEMA as well for round 2 ... which should be more epic than the first time haha ... also going cuz didnt see no invite to wedding either guess zimmz n i arent cool enough to go to mexico

We are flying again. We wanted to drive but both came to the realization its way cheaper and less wear and tear on your car plus if it breaks down while your on your way it could ruin the trip. So we are just spending the money and flying direct that way we are there and done and ready to PARTAY! also we are staying at the MGM Grand again. We stayed there last year and for us it was the perfect place. Close to almost anything we needed. Also the vegas tram is right at MGM to take you to the Vegas convention center so no walking to another hotel to board it. Idk i think rooms are like $150 a night week day and like $175 weekend (Zimm can you confirm). Also if your just going down alone let us know cuz there are 3 of us going and we rented 2 rooms so we have an extra bed open maybe you could split the cost of the room with our 3rd guy?

This. Weddings are expensive. I just couldn't afford to invite everyone.

what are your flights worth?
total hotel?

just trying to budget this whole thing.

depends on flights and where ya stay mgm is a more expensive hotel its like 1000 per week for the room we are staying in..... you can find cheaper hotels like tropicana i think there like 70 ish a night.. for flights just watch for seat sales there anywhere for 150 to 300 one way direct.. hope this helps

and benoit we all just bugging realisticly i wouldnt be able to go anyways...

Im interested in going now, kinda in the same boat as Dustin, not really knowing how much it will cost, once i find that out and make sure i can afford it, im down for going. tho i would probably fly for the same reason as you guys.

If a bunch of people drive, you can do it for under $1000 easily and still have a great time. That is for a week and if you are not A dre.

Driving is WAY cheaper broze.

I have done the math several times.

Last year everyone in our group pitched in $100 bucks for gas and there was still a little left over afterwards.
