Help friends Civic si 1991

So his stereo amp all work when the key is turned to the first point, then when you turn the key to the second position it doesnt... then finally once you turn the car on completely the cigarette lighter, amp and radio all dont work? The checked the fuses in the fuse box but none of them were blown. And we just finished re wiring his whole deck tonight but still no use?anyone have an idea why it would do this? its a civic si hatchback 1991 the deck is a cheap "Dual" with 2 1200W(not sure rms)subs and a 1200w amp(xpold )

thats really strange.. So it always works only on the first click? or does it not work at all now?

check if you forgot to wire in one of the wires, or the connection broke when you put everything back together

well the stupid part is the original owner didnt buy a harness so he cut the plug thing atteched the wires and left a few on it. So today we bought a 20 dollar harness and wired it the only wire i didnt use was a orange dimmer wire. And so if u put the key in and turn once it works then i turn again and it stops turn again the car starts but cig lighter, deck,and fan dont work also the led on the amp turns red instead of green...

hmm no harness... Cam this sounds sorta like the mess we delt with with your car... I don't remember how we got it to work.

Im the owner of the vehicle. This all started when i was running my fan blowing cold air and out of no where it just cut out and the deck turned off. Before the deck would occasionally turn on once the car starts, but now it doesnt work at all when the engine is on. Hope this helps

What is your accessory power wire for your deck run to, ciggarette lighter?

make sure the yellow and red wires are wired up properly

they're wired good red to red yellow to yellow its just we arent sure why when we the car is fully turned on the stereo, amp, cigaretter lighter and the fan stop workin

yeah this is probably the problem, make sure your 12v ignition wire is hooked up to the 12v ignition wire lol.. either that or you got somethin shortin out somewhere. this is why you shouldn't macgyver shit when it comes to car audio, makes problems for people in the future

Yeah, I would say it was wired up to the cigarette lighter power. In the year 1990, Honda added a brain, so that the cigarette lighter wouldn't be useful with the car off.

Are you wiring like, looking at a chart online to wire it? Or are you actually using a circuit tester? I could try and help, I have installed many-a-stereo into these little hatchbacks.
