where is a good place to buy an engine

k well im not too sure where i should buy my new engine any suggestions?

ordered one from tiger jap. the guys didnt seem to know what they were talking about.
but i got it, and it wasnt in the best shape. but. they're alot cheaper than most places.

The phrase "You get what you pay for." best describes this situation. If you cheap out then you most likely won't get the greatest engine.

it was kind of a joke, but yes, a 2.4 liter would be better then a 2.0liter BUT a stock SR is better then a stock KA ( in my opinion. )

I just mentioned a KA because i know he doesnt want to spend alot.

True they are cheap except for the JDM engines some people want insane amounts for them.

Acura, I believe it's the only k24 with 3 lobe vtec it's cheaper to buy a k24a1 or k24a4 bottom end and bolt a k20a2 head to that and get 3 lobe vtec then.

Uhm they are referring to the 240ssx engine the "Ka24".... I don't think he would put a honda engine in his nissan as that would never be worth the headache . the Ka24, you know the one that came in all the north american cars.... the reason most of us S chassis guys don't drive the North American version. you know the "truck" engine... but your post was fun to... you are my new favorite.

First of all, why the hate for the ka24de? It is a good engine, if boosted the sr20det would be no competition. Plus I am a fan of it being a usdm engine so parts are rather common and on the cheap.

Regardless the engine will be out of my s13 sooner than said so I am impartial to both.

If it is so good than why are you pulling it?

Difference between him and I is that I have the money to support the goal, plus I bought a ls1 book on specs so basically I am committed.

Is book code for engine? If so than you would be committed.
