So if you are like me and get your TV/Internet from Access Communications and live in the North West end of the city, you had no cable/tv/phone service. Apparently a garage fire burnt through the main fiber optic cable that supplies all of the north west end of the city. Service was down from about 11PM (Thursday Night) and was up at about 11:30 PM Friday Night when I checked at work, not sure when exactly it came up.
How the hell do they only have 1 cable feeding a whole area ... people who subscribe to access home phone had no telephone service ... what would they have done in an emergency? They couldn't even phone and bitch that their TV/Internet was out. How is that safe?
