| So im stuck between the Kawaski Ninja 650R/400R either or and the Ducati Monster 696 I enjoy both bikes equally visually and both will provide more then enough power I just cant make up my mind, I feel like its another GTST vs GTR argument Im having in my head In my opinion the Ducati is the GTR of the two, its more expensive, parts have to come from italy so they can be a while to get, but it also features higher quality parts ie.) Brembo brakes, Sachs rear suspension and Marzocchi Fork and to me feels like better build quality etc. It is also quite a bit lighter of the two. Also like the GTR its got pedigree On the other hand the Ninja offers a lower price tags, a dealer almost every town of 10,000 or more people, readily accessible parts. Still looks good plenty of aftermarket support but also is the heavyweight of the two Also the monster is air cooler while the ninja is liquid cooled anyones thoughts, has anyone had some decent time on one of these for a rideability opinion | |

| i think this is hands down won by the Ducati.
may just be personal opinion but as you stated the Ducati has pedigree, less of them around as well, also air cooled is so much less hassle.
i just have something for a naked bike though, rough edges define quality workmanship on an Italian bike.
sooo my vote is Ducati! | |

| there are so many fucking monsters around.
You want street fighter, youll get it once you dump your ninja and decide to pull all your panels off becasue new ones are so expensive. But I personally love waiting weeks for parts for something I can only ride 4 months out of a year.

| just join the vintage train, plenty of parts and no need to wait:) plus the bike will run you a tenth of what that ducati will cost haha.
Goodluck with the decision, id rather wait 3 weeks and drive a ducati then wait 1 and drive a Kawasaki.
Thanks. Dustin | |

| Also I would love to own and build a cafe racer thats the dream anyways but thats something id rather do over a winter when im looking for a project
As he said the season is a short one and I dont wnana spend half of it building a bike or even worse building a bike, something breaking then the rest fixing the bike
I take my precious time with projects (my civics going on two years now) Im not in a position to start another at the moment | |

| ya get the kawi, you can be stuntin' hard like this bro in all seriousness though i know what you mean, youd rather be riding, i just seen lots of creativity on the car end of things from many members on here and think it could go to make such a nice bike. buy the ducati, and get a classic honda in the fall. done and done. | |

| Just buy a used 600, people pay 12K for them new, and then sell them off for 6K like 3-4 years later. The funny part is they don't drop in value very fast after that first 3-4 years, so you can re-sell in a year or two for pretty close to what you paid for it. | |
