Tint Spray???

Anyone have any experience using Night Shade tint spray from cantire?? I want to tint out my taillights but am unsure of the process or is it just a simple sray one coat and your good to go type of deal??

James and I have both done it on our VW's.

It usually takes a few light coats to get a tint on. Tailights should be extremely clean, and a light sanding helps (so does shaving off any raised writing on the tailights with a razor blade)

And clear coat after for a proper shine. Both James and mine are half tints. Just turning the orange part of the lamp smoke.

Here's a Civic with a full tinted tail.

its good stuff.. i have done a few pair myself.. easy to use.. just make sure you clean the tails good (^^^) and spray light even coats.. best is to lay both lights side by side so your sure both ur lights get the exact same amount of paint.. cuz it'll look terrible if your one tail light is lighter than the other... I have a case at my place $20 a can if you want any. I bought a full case because I was told they discontinued the stuff.. and paid $25 a can.. now they are everywhere lol.. what does cdn tire charge?

you can get VHT nightshades for like $15 tax inc

a ffs... $15 a can then if anyone needs.

I can't believe you said someting on QCA that was actually true.

Testors is more expensive though, since you will ned like 3-4 cans of it. But it comes in Red, and green and some other colours too.


Also I heard you can use that Duplicour Metalcast to tint the lights other colours. I almost did mine solid red, and I actually wished I did now.
