It's like, why post a normal looking vehicle when everyone on this forum likes rust, stretched tyres, and the rim poking out waiting to hit the curb. Someone should just make the 09/10 FAD thread where you can post all those ugly wheels and tyres and purposely rusted body panels. Aren't I right Jordan Hall and Ryan Benoit? And im out, Bitcheszszszszszszszszszszszs

And im out, Bitcheszszszszszszszszszszszs Some people say, cucumbers taste better pickeled! You are the oldest, crouchiest youngster I know. I feel like you are missing the point that everything is a fad or a style until the next thing comes along. The things you love now weren't always in style. There are different versions of your Honda tech and sometimes even their "style" is frowned upon.

but there is a difference between a fad and a style. A style stays around for a long time. A fad doesn't. And i know that my style is frowned upon.

| Wheel fitment has been around for a very long time, maybe not in the Honda world... but other places. How long does it take for something to become a style from being a fad? Fatlace was established 1999, I don't know when Hellaflush started but I have known Adrian for a few years now and he has been in the know about wheel fitment since we met, same with Golks.
I didn't know Honda's were still relevant until I joined QCA, and even then I thought people were just buying them as starter cars. Anyway, It is all about ways of seeing.

| VW. We invent retarded shit just to see how many Honda guys will do it. Mexi Poke, dangerous stretch, 45 degree camber, 10" wide wheel on the back of a 100hp FWD car, rusted hoods, baby blanket pattern head liners and wrapped door cards, wood trimmed everything, etc. We actually all laugh about it later, it's one big inside joke. - kyles_r32 wrote:

| Poke only looks good up to a certain point, Luis' car is a prime example of how far I would ever go. When a rim is perfectly flush with the fender, nothing will ever look better on a car and it can be achieved while keeping functionality. To be hellaflush it doesnt mean your tires have to be stretched, and it doesnt mean you have to be so slammed you rub on every day daily driving corners. | |

I heard that, you definitely see more Hondas with poke than any other vehicle(cept maybe VWs).

| Ahh you see i say its a fad because now a lot of people realize how gheyy it is, look at the import alliance pics there are almost no cars with stretched tires or shit like that it's finally dying out to most people Man I love saying stuff like this, look how many people get rattled out of their tree posting pictures of rank unnecessary stretch hahahahaha | |

| I love people who think it is 1999 and think that you don't have to worry about wheel size and off set but rather worry more about the Y2k bug. Buying wheels all willy nilly just because they look neat or are super rare but ugly is my favorite mis-education of the import enthusiast. Import Alliance...lol. | |

| both of you have a valid point.... hondas started to go too crazy with the offset/camber thing. specially for being a FWD car. to be honest i dont 100% like my rear camber since its a civic and the damn tires look so skiny. it wasnt my choice but it looks good from all other angles. if i had a choice of better fitment wheels i wouldve taken them. but im in school with possible great debt and i can ditch money around like all you guys do. i buy as much as i can but my priority was always school. examples like this hatch is stoopid. i dont know what is so cool about this. BJ, if i had better fitment in the back i wouldnt think that your point is valid when you say i follow this fad. tires are not that stretched and the front camber isnt that bad. i know you like straight up tires, however i wont die for having a little camber in the front (forget the back). Staggered wheels is lame. im with you on that one. Ryan, not until a while ago honda guys worried about wheel fitment. it was always the rare part with unique look that for some might look ugly but is because you dont see it or how to make that engine rev up to the skys. there were many other things to worry about but now things are turning into looking only at the wheels and how flush they fit. i see how bj tries to defend what used to be honda's true inspiration or orientation (not to mention that none of these car were actually meant to race - except the typeR line). unfortunatelly we let others influence us ALOT and stop caring about what it is all about. Civic's, integra's and other hondas were looked up as time attack cars (for general public, no mean machines whatsoever) when you modified them. Now with this wheel fitment fad some are loosing interest in this old goal and prefer to hard-park and look flush. For my next car, next year i cant say i wont look for good fitment but I definetely will go for performance > flushness.... Adrian's curent car is a perfect example of what i like (no sucking up), the guy reads, reads and researches and somehow finds the climax point of performance and looks (or whatever you want to call it). great job man. | |

This is so true. So many just shit box beaters, with horrible things done to them come across the interwebz with some sick rare low offset wheels. And every body is swinging off that cars nuts. Why does nobody call it as it is? No man that's a Beat to shit *Rabbit, Civic, Corrolla* dropped way too low to even be driven at more then a crawl with wheels worth 10x what that car is? But meh. I like the drifto thing! Low cars, big ass wheels, flush, but still tucked inside the fender. Usually not too much stretch. The cars are usually rough around the edges, with random colour panels, but thats because they are dirven to the brink of destruction regularly. I just have to respect that! Then you have the oppostie with show drops on stupid camber to fit wheels way too low offest/wide for the car. So you now have a non functional car, is just not very attractive to me. I always liked the oldschool Honda Style too, super low, with wheels the right size so you could tuck the rim right up there.!
