Whats the Part number for Hawk front pads

K so i got my money back after buying some canadian tire front pads and i was looking for performance ones. Hawks seem to be good quality and good price. However there seems to be 3 different ones that i dont know WTF.

Aparently in tirerack there are:
One for civic ex (USA) with front disk and rear disk
One for civic ex (USA) with front disk and rear drum
One for civic Si (USA) with front disk and rear disk

I always thought Ex (USA) was Si in canada. I guess not quite now.
Anyone owning a 93 Si coupe has ever ordeered Hawk pads.
Im looking for HPS (High Performance Street) or Performance Ceramic.

i know that for that generation the front pads are a little screwy. Honda used two different types. According to napas computer (but its been wrong)

these fit all of the civics in this generation EXCEPT THE 2 DOOR DX :






for the 2 door DX, these are the ones.





What i have found, is that the top ones fit 3/4 of the civics, and the bottom ones fit 1/4 of them.

what this has to do with what your ordering, i dont know. that a picture might help you know WHAT you have, and maybe they have pictures to confirm it online or something.

I looked up the part number in the EBC site and it doesnt match anything.

For the hawks i was looking in TireRack:

I thought that the front pads for canadian Si coupe, hatch and Ex's were the same but i guess not.
Do you think that in the TireRack website i should get the front disk rear drum ones?

I am person who likes to shop around online with part numbers and get good deals, but this time im really confused.
I thought i could find part numbers and compare but its getting complicated.

Im looking for either EBC redstuff, EBC greenstuff, Hawks HPS or Hawks HP+

honestly, i would pull off my wheel, look at what pad i have , compare it to the two pictures i posted (look at where the mounting tabs are on the side) and then send an email to which ever company you decided to go with showing them the shape of the pads, and make sure you are getting the right ones. If they have any customer service, they will help you.

I dont know how many times i had someone come in and get the pads for their car. I will ask " drums or disk in the back? " (it affects the type of pad in the front sometimes) , and they wont know, we will walk outside, take a look, and sell him the pads that are suppose to fit. He calls back a few hours later and it turns out he needs the other ones, even though IT SHOULD OF CAME WITH THE ONES I SOLD HIM FROM FACTORY. sometimes on the factory assembly, things get a bit screwed up, maybe they run out parts, and use what they have etc...

since your ordering online, what are you gonna do when you get your pads, and they are the wrong ones? its not as easy as making the drive to your local part store and exchanging them for the correct ones.

make sure your getting the ones you need, not what the computer suggests.

PS, I just looked at the tire rack link

it shows two different options for the front

ex with disk in the rear ----> $64.00
ex with drums in the rear ---> $81.00

then it shows one option for pads for the rear (obviously)

pads the rear -----> $51.00

and there are no shoes available for the rear if thats what you have.


i think maybe you got confused and thought all three of those were for the front?

either way, dont believe that info, LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE.

Hey thanks yeah I'll look and see what I have that would help alot more. I'll give ebc and hawk a call tmrw and get the right part numbers so I don't get confused. Part numbers should be universal so that's good. Thanks for looking after bud
