Just a heads up that the winter Series for QCMA starts January 1st.

Time : 11:00 am ish (First Car out at 12:00)
Where: SIAST Parking lot.

price is $30 for non QCMA members correct?
Also, can you link to a set of rules/car saftey requirements for everyone?
I need to fab up a bettery mount before I can participate

I should probably get off my ass and get my jetta to run. It would be nice if I knew why it won't start.

ive got a tsg fullface helmet, its snell and dot aproved. will i be able to use this if i ever try and get into any of the qcma events ? ( i knoiw this isnt the best place to ask, but im too lazy to search around right now)0

is it snell approved? I think they have pretty leaneant rules towards age restrictment. They have pretty old helmets the lend out. you should be fine

You must have a valid drivers license, if your under 18 you need parental signature. Helmet, as long as its snell 2005 its fine

im snell aproved, so it looks like im good to go, just need to find a fucking car to drive the shit out of.

this sounds like it could be fun...how was it last year/ what exactly goes on??

they set up a course in the parking lot, and its basically slolom racing, but on snow. One car at a time, against the clock.

there was a guy that was racing his 2000+ Saturn Vue out at lumsden a year or two back. putting down half decent times too.


i know there were a few jeeps and such racing at the ice dice.

Half decent times? When IWas out, that guy destroyed everyone. he would show up, unload teh family and the BBQ, then go out on the track, and be faster than pretty much everyone.
Is anyone from here going out to the Jan 1. ice dice? I think that would be neat if we could get atleast a few of us out there.

I remember he was getting close to my times. He was damn fast.

Is anyone still going out to this event??? Where is SIAST?? lol sorry just moved here from calgary...
