Step #1 take oil pan off Step #2 get a hammer and pound it out Step #3 re-install oil pan and remember to put oil in the engine Step # 4 no more worries... Why is this such a complicated question???

Thanks ass-hat, I never would figured that one out... For future refference read the question first. We didn't ask how to fix it we asked how bad it was.

And for the record Garret and Robert, I used a crow-foot socket for the first time today. I thought you two would enjoy that

hes feeling on top of the world thats why. he got his motor in. (it might also be because dsm's wont run even without a dented oil pan Razz)

but if i was going to fix it on the civic.... i would drill a hole, screw in a dent pulled, pull it out, then plug the hole with some kind of weatherhead fitting of some sort. pulling the pan is probably alot of laybor.. im assuming it wont just drop down. i didnt really look though.

Just take off the oil pan and fix it with a hammer. They come off pretty easy...
I am pretty sure about this, pretty much every D-series pan is dented from before 1995, unless the car was never lowered.
