might be good in the mud, but trying to off road in the winter does not work so well. But the 4wd with tight suspension on the crv is awesome just for regular road use in the winter I loved it, didnt even have winter tires and it drove awesome still. One day it snowed a shitload and we drove through the residential areas in wascana view, He was driving the cr-v and i was driving a Pacifica and i got stuck while he plowed through
