Does this have to do with your jogging date with Adrian? And do you want around the whole lake or just between albert and broad?

I kinda want to know that distance too, when i get more time I intend to go for a jog around there every once in a while.

corey ill set up my computer on my bike and ride around it and i can give you the exact distance

a race eh? im not good long distance, sprinting is more my style. I got a rough estimate using google maps directions thing tracing the roads around the lake between albert and broad and got 5.7km, so somewhere near that, maybe closer to 5km.

well... if we drove all the way around it would be : approx 5100 meters




now if we WALKED (or biked) thats a little harder to calculate. .. We can assume you basically follow the road everywhere except in two spots.


The first is where Albert St. and Regina Ave. meet. That one is easy to calculate. We remove 338meters from our total.



( we have 52 meters from point B to point C and an extra 10meters because the road from A to B curves. Its a small curve so we can just ball park it. 52 +10 = 62. Since our total has the extra 400meters going around this, we take out 400 for our old route and add 62 for the new one. This lets us remove 338 meters from our total. )


The second short cut we can take is by the museum. This one is a bit more tricky.




We need to figure out the distance from point A to D. We can remove 356meters from our total.



We can add the distance from point B to C with y. (278 + 182.6 = 460m) The total around before was 816 meters, but our shortcut will make it 356meters. (816-460 = 356m)


So walking :
5100 - 338 - 356 =4406 meters.

Walking : 4.4 kms (4400 meters)
