| back on topic: I am persoonally all for this. I really don't want the bumper of sume dude's new f250 4x4 Super Duty, comming though my rear window and bumping my skull when he runs in to the back of me(or decides to drive over me). Its purely a saftey thing here. Vehicles just don't handle well when they are that high(or too low). Yes, there are two sides to this, and there are the purpose built rigs who just use them to go hit the trails, but you don't have to be super high, and you don't need 38 inch tires to go mudding/trailblazing. In reality guys, SGI has always had this law. Your bumpers have to be between a certain height, and its just to keep everyone safe. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this. | |

| i think its fuckin bull shit that there trying to do this and do i dare say this on here but a lifted truck is no more dangerous than a rhd car on the highway they should kick all those out of sask to then plus if it does go through the'll grandfather trucks that are already lifted cause theres no fuckin way that im paying to put my truck back to stock f that b.s | |

Not when your rolling on cut springs with an alignment thats way out. I dont think its that much different from raising a vehicle. If its not done somewhat correct it can be a deathtrap

| lower center of gravity helps, but there comes a point when the suspension geometry is so out of whack, that you end up doign more damage than good. And the government is already looking to pass legislation to ban RHD cars(grandfather the current ones). I know Manitoba has looked into this extensively, and wants to pass it ASAP. You can get a truck pretty high before it is deemed "unsafe". My friend has a red 90's chev 4x4 that is quite high, and it is still an inch below the limit. I think this law is just trying to get those "extensively" lifter vehicles off the road. I doubt the will grandfather the trucks that are previously lifted because it is still feasable to put the truck back to stock, it isn't feasable to make a RHD car LHD. I think most of the 4x4 enthusiasts will be safe. | |

| They better not ban RHD cars, that not only means that the price for the remaining ones will skyrocket but also it destroys my dream of buying one in a year or two | |

lol ur name says JDM. There has been many studies done on RHD in LHD countrys (and vise versa). they show that a RHD car in a LHD enviroment (and vise versa) is LESS likely to crash because the driver is aware of the vehicle difference and has to pay MORE attention while driving. (the studies were done in France/UK , Japan and a few African countrys. I believe ICBC told the media that you were 40% more likely to crash with a RHD car (it was all over the news and people were freaking out) , but once they realieased their statistics, it was clear it the data was falsified and they retracted their statements. (i THINK this is what happend.. i dont follow it THAT closely. ) Anyways, RHD accidents have to do with the driver, not that the steering wheel is over two feet to the right. In the event of an accident, i just feel like some of those super jacked trucks would cut my head off.

| its bullshit. i drive a lowered peanut of a car too and i feel completely safe around lifted trucks. regina is fuck all...drive down here and every second vehicle is a lifted truck and there are bed trucks semis and rigs rolling through the city all day long. im not a fan of trucks that are lifted just for show either but if your driving a truck out to a rig or something and you get into muskeg...good luck getting out in the next year if your not in a lifted truck. | |

| I love how everyone blames the vehicles and all that when it comes down to it, it is the driver. A careless driver regardless of a lifted truck or a RHD sports car, if they are talking on the phone or just not paying attention its the same thing. | |
