How many is too many?

Well I've heard MANY different things about how many cars you can buy/sell in a year until your intent is to profit therefore playing the role of a dealership.

So does anyone know for certain of how many is actually the limit?

Don't claim them on your income taxes. you're fine unless they audit you. And unless you're depositing thousands of dollars into the bank at a time, they usually never catch on. We regularily sell more than 3 cars a year. Nothing is constant here. I personally wouldn't worry about it, but I heard the magic number is 3 too

After buying and selling all my cars im sick of doing it now. Which is why I havent sold my car yet, im just tired of selilng cars, tire kickers, and people coming to test drive that never show up. I hate having to find another car again, so many choices, and theres so much junk out there you have to be carefull what you buy.

i totally agree with you.

i actually looked into it a while back. there is no official set limit from what i found, just that "when you start selling multiple cars to gain a profit, you are suppose to acquire a dealers license and charge taxes."

Ya the only thing I know for sure is that any bank transactions (deposit or withdrawal) over 3000 bucks are reported to Canada revenue. So as long as you dont have like 10 unaccounted deposits over 3000 they wont look into your taxes too much.

Or don't deposit it all at once and don't go and deposit $2999.99 just to be under the 3 grand limit ... don't think they don't look at that shit also lol
