Credit Card ??'s

Okay so I understand the whole buying something then you pay the bank back, but what happens if you sell something say over the interweb using paypal how do you get the money? The way I see it is the credit card is fronting you cash, what happens when the money wuold be coming back to you?

you get a positive on your account. So you can either wire it to your bank account to go in like your savings or just leave it on there as "store credit" or a giftcard so to speak.

Ahh I see, that makes total sense!

I have my bank setup on my paypal account so that I can transfer money from my paypal account to my bank, all I do is enter in how much and they do the rest.

The only downside to this is it can take up to 5 business days approximately for the funds to show up, but last time I withrdrew from paypal into my bank it only took about a day and a half.

I'm not sure how it works with credit cards since I do not have one.

Ya i think strictly selling would be better with a bank account. That way the money goes directly to you.

Not having a credit card but having paypal sucks ... a lot of places won't let you pay with paypal even though you have the funds in your account if you don't have a credit card on the account. I gotta wait till October for a credit card

Are you gonna use it just on ebay and internet only? or are you gonna use it as an everyday thing, i dont trust credit cards for myself id rack up a huge bill and what not but for the internet i can see the use

The only use that will come out of this is for the internet. I've got some parts/items that I would like to sell on say ebay and also in the future I will be wanting to buy parts online. So having my own credit card not only builds my credit but will be very easy to do other things I want.

Ya once im 18 im gonna get a credit card and a cell phone contract to start building a good credit.

Not being 18 fucking sucks ... lets see here:

My apartment is in my dads name
my power bill is in my dads name
my phone will have to be in my dads name (if i even get one i might just use my cell)
my internet will have to be in my dads name

My name can't go on shit all! The system is crap ... honestly think about it you got some kids going to university that won't be 18 possibly until December 31st ... and they can't even build up a credit even if they are living on their own for a while.

and then you turn 18 and get fucked cause you have no credit.

OH who cares, its not like your going to be giong for a mortgage anytime soon so you have plenty of time to build it up...

yah but alot of people 18 want to finance cars, and end up with terrible interest rates because of zero credit.

Its just a hastle to not be able to purchase shit online without a credit card when the company accepts paypal and you have paypal and money in it but can't due to lack of a credit card.

It is also a pain in the ass for everything to be in your parents name...it sucks

if you use paypal with your bank account it takes like 10 days to go through and you cant buy shit off companys because they need instant payment

the only thing stopping me from gettin a credit card is the fact that there is like a bajillion different ones lol.. any reccommends on what card to go with, or is it best to just get one through your bank

I booked an appointment at my bank (CIBC) and decided to just go with them.

well, I got mine at superstore (its a mastercard), and I accumulate points on every dollar I spend. free groceries FTW! haha

Apparently you can trademark a word found in the dictionary and if someone has a website with that word in it you can automatically straight up take it from the legitimate owners. A huge crock of shit I must say ... with making billions of dollars they could have at least compensated us but fuck no ... big corporations just piss on the little guy.
