Petition to legalize reasonable front side window tint

Spread the word, maybe if we get enough signatures we can get a law like Manitoba has which allows some amount of tint.

isnt the point of preventing front window tint, because the tint film holds the glass inplace and can be a safety issue? I dont see how a little tint vs lots of tint has any difference?

a cop told me once that it is because if they need to get in a car that has been in a accident where the doors are pinched shut the glass doesnt cut them up when they gor through it

I like having my windows tinted (no darker than 35% on the doors). Much nicer on the highway, and the car stays cooler inside. 3 years and the cops have never bothered me about it though

i wouldnt mind like a 60%-70% tint in the front, almost a smoked look

That is all this is for, it is definitely not a petition to allow limo tint on the front. The law in Manitoba allows up to 50% tint, if this was implemented in Saskatchewan it would be a huge step forward. Lately it seems that tinting tickets are being given out to everyone even for the lightest tint, mainly as a source of revenue. I also would like to tint my windows very slightly but haven't since I don't want the cops to have an excuse to pull me over.

70% is jack all go read the front windows on a newer gm vehicle i think they do 70% or maybe 80 on all there windows you cant even see it probley just protects you from harmful sun rays?

the film does not hold the glass together when it cracks, unless its 8mil bullet proof security film, and i don't know of anyone with that. that whole story is a myth.

i don't expect limo either but it would be nice to do 50 because that blocks a ton of uv rays and keeps your car cooler while not really hindering your view.

one main reason behind it is officer safety. If they come up to your vehicle while you are pulled over, they should be able to have a clear view inside your car.

However I do want my Audi tinted (for the Kids in the back), and I will get the front windows done too. Probably with 35% smoke, because the rears will all be dark smoke, but factory Audi UV glazing is blueish/green, and it looks stupid to have a black window beside a blue. As soon as you some smoke tint it make all the windows llok at least the same "shade" You can still easily see right in. I'll guess I'll just take my chances, sure would be nice if it was legal to do that though. Neutral

If the tint isn't ridiculous and your not a punk kid, you can probably get away with some decent tint. But like Kyle said...tint is gay. Especially when it's old and shitty like my car.

yeah it depends on the car i guess.

i know after suffering all summer last year having a fish bowl i will be getting dark dark tint this year on my backs so i don't roast my ass off on my black leather again.

my audis back side windows are peeling might get them all done, has any 1 went to darkside tinting yet

The laws are all bullshit, if the cops were so adamant about film style tinting then they wouldn't let people put it on their rear windows either. Not allowing people to have tint is an easy source of revenue.
