Hey guys, been awhile but I wanted to share another short film that I and a local subaru owner made together. Some may know him, his name is Alex. We spent a total of 4 hours filming and another 3 hours straight approximately of post production. Overall we're happy with the video and if there was enough interest for some, we would consider making some next summer for some local cars.
Regardless I present an Ignit short film in association with MainLine Productions, 2005 Subaru STi.
Enjoy!

Solid, I really like the feel! Hunny's a real good guy, sorry to hear his engine blew but glad he's rebuilding it.

I dont know why but this video made whoever was driving the car look like a giant swinging dick. I also hate dramatic music in car videos. was a good video though

We've been calling it the Format67 Filter. If you're ever seen a short film by Format67 then you'll understand why lol. It's a combination of color correction, light rays, and gradient map. If you YouTube "Format67 effect" there should be some videos explaining how to do it.

Decided it could use a little more post production work. New link will be up soon.

Thanks haha I decided I still have an undeniable passion for shooting still so I'd like to shoot more video's like this soon. As Alex stated its all post production filters, we used L series glass on a canon 7D and the rest was done in sony vegas. New link is:

It's up on vimeo under: Stage 2 '05 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. I'd link it for you but this forum won't allow me to post links until my account is at least a week old.

Thanks man. It's sitting in my garage in Regina with a fully rebuilt motor with only like 15kms on it. Dev and I are currently both living in Calgary but my last trip back, I cleared all my post-rebuild error codes and it's now running minty as hell. Can't wait until the next time I'm back in Regina... gonna take it for a nice long cruise.

video looks great, are you not using any rigs though? whole thing seemed very shaky to me, i think it would be much more polished if not this way.
nonetheless great.

I have been checking the market, there are a few options out there. A legit steady Cam can get pretty pricey and still requires a lot of practice. Devan from Vancouver uses one, you can see an example here -> http://vimeo.com/31053857
He is still getting use to it. I have pretty much made my mind up on one, as I am sick of traveling with a shitty Tripod all the time. Any free hand work with a DSLR is tricky.. to say the least and requires so much practice.
