- Nice pick up. Now, would this camera let you do slow motion vids or what's the usual frame rate for this type of video captures. I see the highest frMe rate for that camera is 60fps at 720.
I just find really amazing the slow motion captures and maybe you might get into this once you learn the camera. that is one of the reasons I left Nikon, the video capabillity of Canon is better and will allow for better slow motion if I need it. I have pretty much already figured out the settings for 60fps. It will also do 24p and 30p which is nice. I will go out and shoot some test video once spring comes. Might start taking some photos tonight.

- 60fps is great for slo mo, but it's all how you render the video to make the slo mo look any different than a 30fps clip would look like. I found a tutorial on google - and i'm pretty sure on the Canibeat forums too - that shows you what to do, all I know is a 3rd party program is needed..
Final cut (what I use has) the slow motion function which seems to work out pretty easily. Consider the following, in the olden days when you wanted to shoot slow motion you would speed up you fps when capturring and then play it back 24pfs. High speed is capture slower and play regular as well. It just gives you more frames and should make it smmother.

| yeah pretty simple. more frames smoother at lower projection speed. On the other hand, would be sweet if you ever came up with one of those videos that look like toys but its actual ppl and real like stuff... | |

| I think it's time to step up to a slr camera finally. I am a complete noob to all of this and don't have much cash. My budget for now is around 800. I am going to check out some cameras tomorrow and I have a few in mind: Canon eos rebel t2i, t3, and t3i.
I would like to dabble into some video too, but mostly pictures. Things I would like to shoot are landscape, motion (sports and motorsports), and still (like cars and what not). I have heard that it is good to invest in a few good lenses opposed to a more expensive body. A different lens would be used for a landscape photo opposed to shooting drifting, correct?
What should I be looking for tomorrow (as far as specs). What is important, like different MP and shutter speeds and what not.
So, with these things in mind, what what would be some good entry level cameras that would be able to meet my needs?
