I wouldn't doubt it, when i got the 180 painted i personally cut and polished the whole car. after a full paint job no body likes anything less than flawless.

| I think its all circumstancial, because lets face it, everyone makes mistakes at their job. Ive seen one painted who very rarely has to polish anything. But with a colour like that, I think youd want it looking absolutley perfect | |

| Designed and fabricated by myself to outboard the rear shocks to add stability and aid in articulation, I miss having access to afully equipped shop like this. Also to clear my exhaust as the tail pipe is in the way, and to prevent shock body binding on my axle during articulation because of my roated pinion due to the slip yoke eliminator kit. Loosely based on how the new JKs have their rear shocks in their suspension, It was interesting adapting from the TJ design to the JK. Just have to cut off the old mounts and weld these suckers on. itll look like this on the axle when finished: And not like this straigh up and down garbage I currently have. as soon as these shocks fail, its time for some new longer travel remote resivor Fox shocks, found a pretty good deal hook up on parts. | |

not to knock what you plan on doing, as its your car but those coatings don't do ANYTHING to prevent rock chips and sand blasting. if you want to get your car done Proper(like it appears you have with the rest of it) let me know and i will hook you up with the best installer in Saskatchewan hands down, and if i was you i would get the full front clip bulked (Hood, fenders, bumper, lips, mirrors) as well as any additional pieces(dog legs, etc) I know its not cheap but the technology in film these days make it unreal, 60" seamless mediums and self healing elastic polymer coatings. Aka invisible and it heals itself from damages, cant ask for much more. let me know, and beautiful job on the car man.

Mike, Scott at Custom Auto Shield((306) 543-4250) is the guy to talk to, I have personally seen his work, deal with him regularly and supply him with all his products and software. I also know every installer in Saskatchewan and pretty much every one in western Canada, he is the best in the province. I will give him a call Monday of next week and let him know you will be calling him to get a quote, he will most likely want to see the car so whenever it is ready to come out you can take it down to him to look. Due to the car it will need to be Bulk installed and not a precut kit so it is more time consuming and expensive, but produces a better result. as for install, to avoid the lines across the hood that most people hate you can get the full hood and front fenders done each in one piece without seams and wrap all edges, you literally cant see the film, at all. The only film I would recommend for your application is Xpels Ultimate as it is hands down the best film on the market. Optical clarity is uncomprimised and it has an elastic polymer coating that "remembers" where it was, so if you scratch or damage the film in some way, it will heal itself and go back into place. Here is a video of the film in action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUqzFvRw4-AI personally know Jeff and Tim who work at/own Xpel in San Antonio, TX and they are awesome guys, this film truly is "Self Healing", Jeff has his entire Audi R8 covered in the film, and we drew on it with sharpies at SEMA 2011, he just came buy and wiped it off with Alcohol and a cloth. Hopefully you guys can strike a deal, if not thats ok too. Let me know if you have any other questions.

| For the cost of some of that paint protection you could spray the car twice, and no matter what all paint film only lasts a couple years if the car is outside much. It is one thing to protect impossible to replicate factory paint but for a respray I would only do a couple heavy wear areas and call it a day. | |

Unfortunately you are mistaken. 1. A full front clip(Full hood, full fenders, mirrors.bumper, etc) install on a traditional car with a precut kit will cost $1500, A front end clip with say 24" of coverage will cost you $600, you cant even get a rear qtr panel resprayed for $1500 if you do your own prep, never mind an entire car, especially at the level of paint work that has went into mikes car. 2.What happens when his hood chips? its not just paint any more you need to add into the price, now its a new CF hood. 3. Please do your research on film a little more, I am in the industry and deal with this stuff everyday, it lasts allot longer than "a couple years". especially the clear coated films like the Xpel Ultimate, which by the way has a 10 year no questions asked warranty. 4.Thanks for the shots Adrian!
