QCA Summer Meet

Alright, I have been going to a lot of car shows and they are mostly just muscle cars and hot Rods. Why don't we do how we use to do and plan a meet. Suggest a time and a place and let's try to get a big turn out.

I think we should try and organize a show or something. I'm sure we could get enough spoonsership for something but the date is the hardest thing to pick.

Well A Sat Evening is usually open for most or sunday like any car shows on those dayz usulay have good turn outs even fridfay night

we should do a sunday afternoon meet and its way to late to try and get some kind of sponsorship and posters out and what not. The Access comm. car show is i believe the first weekend of september and there is a big A&W meet on the 28th of August...or it might be this weekend? Benoit?

Place should be somewhere easy and big enough for everyone. walmart parking lot north or old walmart parking lot in the south?

old walmart south parking lot is a good idea
unless there is a circus there that parking lot is always super dead.

well sunday afternoon is good idea for sure.... access is sept 6th

We just have to pick a day, and leave it! Sure, plan it on a non show day, incase people want to partake or go to it. But as for a meet, we just need to pick a set date in a month or so. We all know that as soon as a date is suggested, there's gonna be a handful of people who are going to to say they can't go due to other plans. If you set it enough in advance, it gives people time to take time off or make new arrangements if necessary. And if you can't make it...you can't make it, plain and simple. You can't try planning a meet around everyones lives...it just doesn't work.

thats what we learned years ago during the ricers days.

i remember back then getting 15 cars out was no issue at all...now id be surprised if we got even half of that.

true story, it seems like everyone wants to have a meet and then when it comes down to it the same 7 people show up...there is no point anymore unless everyone is actually going to show up

I'd show up, and I'd even bring my buddy with the Del Sol who only lurks on here but has never posted once. (but I do have 2 weddings to go to in August, so as long it wasn't the same day as those I will go)

And even though I'm po' (a house, a wife and 2 kids will do that to you trust me), I'm still a wheel whore. So would it be ok if I legged humped somebodys forged monoblocks?

last year was a pretty big meet, took like 8 shots to make a pano of the line up lol. someone state a date and start telling every-fucking-one.

i miss those days

Getting together this year to figure out a date for next year to get a huge meet and to start advertising. it would probably help get others from other provinces to come out.
