| The concave looks good but rotas? Ive heard this too many times before, dude buys sti, pitches the BBS wheels it came with (assuming they still put BBS wheels on STis) and throws a set of rotas on instead. But maybe thats the impression we all still have of rotas, ive been by their site and they may not be rays engineering but they do seem like they take effort to make good wheels, i could be wrong tho. | |

| I'm past hatin' on Rota's . They've been in the game so long, and sold so many sets of wheels by now. If they weren't at least half decent, they would be out of buisness.
You certainly never feel ripped of when you buy a set of Rota's. But if you want to argue the semantics of it, only the BBS upgrade package are Forged. The normal STI wheel is cast aluminum and so is the Rota. The Rota is certainly lighter. The Stock wheel is certainly stronger. The stock wheel would just be hubcentric, and very unlikely the Rota is. But a few company's do make Hub-Centric rings that fit Rota's.
Of course you aren't going to get the same street rep as if you were running some ultra rare Forged Wedsports. Especially in this day and age. Now you could have a $500 beater, as long as it scrapes the ground and has some impossibly low offset Work wheels, your the fucking man!

That is because the ce28 is not a cheap wheel. People who have good wheels, in good sizes know what they have and they aren't just going to give them away after they shelled out all the dough for them. I have seen the Rota booth at SEMA, I will stick with the Japanese names.

I did some research last night just for you Benoit and yes rota's are not a forged wheels like say Volk or works are but if your hard parking like us than all your paying for is the name and your own self gratitude that your rims are worth more than your car... I'd rather stick to something that looks and fits awesome than shell out $3000 for name brand wheels with no rubber. And no they wont fall apart by just driving around the city benoit, dont pull that card.

You spend money on everything else why not invest in your wheels as well. in the end it is your choice... but you could save up and get something that you would be really happy with.

Seeing that not ONE race team using rota's has ever complained about them breaking or anything, ya, I would consider buying some 18x9 + 25 rota grids.

| So why do you buy Perrin? or have a Seibon hood? What is the point of having those? Your car is not a race car and for our driving purposes you could buy something cheaper and have more money left over more parts. Aside from that Adam, I have seen the dress shoes you wear in real life, you don't wear all your fancy work clothes with dress shoes from Walmart or Zellers. Lastly, you can save the money, buy the Rotas but then be mocked by your peers. | |

| If you want to keep making compromisses then go ahead and buy some Rotas. It just doesn't make sense you aren't a budget builder. I bet you get Rotas and then want the Volks the next season. Save your money and do it right the first second time.
I bet you change your mind after vegas.
