SiR July 2nd

Anyone interested in heading up to SiR this friday for some drag racing? I plan top head up early afternoon if anyone else want to roll up together, post up.

if my car was fixed id consider it. but not likely it will be done this week

Anybody want to try and make Swift Current in July?

I'm told they cater more to the street car crowd and are not as sticky as SIR for follwing every god damn rule to the letter. I mean you would still need helmet, fire jacket, etc stuff like that. But like if your meth tank was plastic and not steel/aluminum. Things like that.

July 24 is the next date

And swift is closer and HWY1 is faster. Plus guys in Moose Jaw (I'm looking at Doom and Ryan) are only 1.5 hours away.

Best of luck with traction though. Dont forget that it isnt actually a drag strip.

I had no issues with traction in swift. but then again my car doesn't make a whole lot of power..

only thing i dont like about swift is traveling 15 mins of gravel to get to the track.

Traction pffft, That's for drifters...........no, wait a mintue.

Nt worried about gravel, my car is worth less then a pack of gum, so no issues there.

I may be down for swift we''ll see if I can get my clutch and broken in by then.

also need to find a helmet to borrow again(though with the times people run out there anyways I probaly still be in the 14's anyways)

i was running mid 13's all day last year with no helmet.

I thought they still sprayed down traction additive at Swift?

I think halfway through the day they put VHT down. Not sure what difference it makes with street tires though.

I thought the engine was out of your car? But yah no problem, I should just bring it out to a meet some night somebody else wanted to put down a run. It shows Horsepower and Dyno chart, but that only shows how much power you were able to put down, not how much you made, so it's always low.

I'd like to bring it to Swift and run it at the same time, see how close it really is.

I might be in for swift. Traction was shit though when I ran there, that was a few years ago though so maybe they got their act together.

you don't meed a helmet for a 13 second pass at swift??

i think it was "reccomended". but they never hassled me at all.. Then again I do drive a mustang so the rules could differ

motor is in whip! imma take it out for a cruise today. We should gtech it this weekend.

im also up for a gtech this weekend!

So it was rained out today but if anyone wants to head up next saturday, I plan to try it again. Next saturday is a test & tune, so like street legals but with VHT.

When is the next swift event? I need to fab up a battery tray, gets more boost, buy a firejacket and I'm in to win!!!
