Most people are lucky if they exceed the social class of their parents. You'll get a little bit older and realize that it isn't always about how hard you work but rather who you know and where you come from.
Saying that they should quit and let the teens do that work is well irrelevent. Walmart preys on the under educated because they won't organize and form unions, or fight for better working conditions. They don't need customer service, all they need to do is move product. If you don't like it return it... they accept all types of returns. The people that work for Walmart barely need to be there.
Furthermore, Walmart often puts other local businesses out business leaving the down trodden less job opportunities else where.
I believe Layne and I have one critical difference in our opinions of matters such as these. If I am not mistaken he believes in the good of Capitalism and I believe it is flawed system and Walmart exudes those traits that reinforce my ideals. i find that statement very untrue.. it might be easier if you know connections and where you come from, but you can still do just as good or better if you put passion, hard work, and ambitition into what you want to succeed in.

| I agree with josh but also agree with ryan as well. Hard work will pay off in the end....in most cases. But having contacts in the right positions and right place can benefit someone a lot more than working your way up. I can vouch for this. | |

| Cam, like a said "a way to get you back in the door" not about pride in your work, or doing it out of the goodness of your heart. But as I also said the beauty of Walmart is they barely need their employees. They just need to make sure you don't steal and ring things through. Their system is based on low prices due to low costs as Layne explained. I think they understand that people value the dollar over anything else.
LOL, Adam you can vouch for this.
Anyway, if you come from money it is a lot easier to make money. All the people I know that are my age that were well to do growing up are now doing well for themselves. There are some people that I know that I wouldn't trust with anything that now own their own business, because it was backed by their parents.
People will disagree with me but the whole point of the system is to subdue people into complacency.
Anyway, hopefully knowing Adam pays off for me!

| agreed benoit
but then we bring other things into play the people that inherit businesses or such are usually less concerned with customer service, less concerned with anything except the profit. they usually take it for granted and are alot less liked than there parents etc.
so i believe if you dont come from money you usually run a more successful business, im talking successful not just profit wise.
this of course is speculation im not saying all, im saying a few
ie.
Ajay Dilawri vs. Rab Dilawri ( his father was much more liked etc) The Brandt industries
etc. | |

Bullshit. They plant seeds in your brain and you believe that then you see finance companies hiring girls cause their dad farms with the CEO and your left cleaning bathrooms while your passion and hardwork is left being applied to fake investor powerpoints in your basement.

ironic That isn't irony, and if it is it reaching. calling some one a retard then spelling RETARD wrong is not irony?[/quote Depends, on the situation. irony is... well here, 1. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend. Literature. a. a technique of indicating, as through character or plot development, an intention or attitude opposite to that which is actually or ostensibly stated. b. (esp. in contemporary writing) a manner of organizing a work so as to give full expression to contradictory or complementary impulses, attitudes, etc., esp. as a means of indicating detachment from a subject, theme, or emotion. 3. Socratic irony. 4. dramatic irony. 5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected. 6. the incongruity of this. 7. an objectively sardonic style of speech or writing. 8. an objectively or humorously sardonic utterance, disposition, quality, etc. I don't really know. Did you expect him to spell it right? I would just say ignorance, unless he was referencing "Hang Over"
