| worse thing is he just blew the engine He's dumping another $8,000 into it... this is his email to me: - Quote :
yeah it was a sad day on the weekend Poor little Subie popped cylinder #4. Piston rings decided they no longer wanted to stay in, tons of oil everywhere and a horrible idle. I am ready to pull the engine now, Thursday I get a hoist. And now it's time to shave the entire engine bay and get it ready for paint. Plus removing the crossmembers and getting them powder coated going to look so friggin pimp once it's all done
I picked up a sponsor for my engine build which should help out huge. As for plans on the engine it will be a full out build. Heads will be port and polished, Ferrea valvetrain, Kelford cams, oversized valves. The block I will be doing JE custom coated pistons, eagle rods, acl bearings, ARP bolts, fully balanced and blueprinted to rev to 8500, knife edged nitride crank, oil pump upgrades - This setup will be capable into the 800whp - but no way I will take it that high, max 680whp. I want my car to resemble as much of a WRC car as I can I wanted to do sleeves and go with a big bore 2.7L kit but there's to many issues with these types of builds, so I will stay away from this, although it sure would be cool to have a stroker motor hehe

I want my car to resemble as much of a WRC car as I can - they are limited the 300whp so I really don't want to go far over that.

| was contemplating on posting this or not but w/e some of you guys might like. My buddy here is now doing a replica WRC widebody kit and converted his front end to the 06-07 STi "falcon" styled front end. Looks really nice! Hasn't got pics of the rear fenders on yet but the front ones look snazzy! also some CF in there he's also going to be purchasing a Launsport WRC replica spoiler Plans to paint the car that dull almost matte silver (this color) will look un-real when its done in 2 months! | |
