As some of you may have seen, my side skirts have seen better days. The previous owner had smashed the passenger one, and I had gone offroading at the drift track a few times, putting a small hole in the driver side.
So, I took off the sideskirts and washed them up. Then began to throw around some ideas of how to fix the one missing a huge chunk (the missing piece is where the masking tape is). I decided to use fiberglass. I started out with some metal wire. I bent it to make the shape of what I imagined it would look like. Then I put some masking tape over it to see if it was the proper shape. It ended up looking like this. You can see the small hole I put on the left side skirt. Ok so this is as far as I got tonight... As for the next step. I am not sure if I am able to just fiberglass right over the tape? I know I will need to sand around the area before fiberglassing... I am very new to this whole body work thing. Some imput would be greatly appreciated.

Id Just go grab some fleece or pantyhose, Any fabric that can stretch. Pull it over the damaged area It should take on close to the original shape, If not keep the wire behind to support it. Then just brush on resin to soak the fabric, let it dry and it will turn hard then lay the fiberglass over that.
