QCMA Monthly meeting Tues Sept 1

Why you should come: Its nice not being the only person under 30 there. also if your a drifter, your opinion matters. Drifting will probably be another hot topic so come listen, give your 2 cents and what not.

What issues do think will arise with drifting? I am pretty sure I won't be back in the city until late now.

I hope none. But we won't know until the meeting.

I have been thinking that it is weird that we can barely keep one league a float and Alberta has like three... or had three. I understand that our population is not ah high but wow. I find it so hard to believe that only 11 people are interested are interested in this motor sport.

This only strengthens my resolve to move away.

but its not advertised at all like in alberta. If you put up signs and had flyers made and stuff im sure you would get more people interested. Im sure people are interested in drifting but dont even know its going on at the track...I didnt even know myself there was a track there until i joined qca

Agreed. Next season we do big advertising and try and get a demo in the city!

if we had like atleast 20 cars and charged $100 to enter i think that would cover the cost no?

well if it gets people to attend and gain interest and perhaps one day get a DMCC event here, dont you think it would be worth it???

I think its totally worth it. However, do the other drifters think its worth it

and the issue with our events is that they are too short and too expensive. the saskatoon people need to take off work to get to drifting on time and they have to pay 40 bucks to drift for a few hours. and i realize we have no choice with the price and such. But like people in other provinces pay 10 bucks and get to drift all day. So i can see why it seems not worth it to alot of people.

I think what we need to do is push to get events all day saturday. then at least you pay 40 and get a solid days drifting. then people could justify driving all the way.

you need to find a new track if you want saturday events. Alot of the time they have other clubs/races on saturdays. and plus the lumsden track is really gay for drifting and the owners dont even like it

An all day event is 632 for track rental and 250ish for insurance. $40/entrant will not cover this.

We could do a Saturday morning or Saturday afternoon (1-5) and then we could do the $40 entry fee.
