Swift Current Drags August 29th,30th.

Just curious if anyone is going to make it down for the 2 day event. Should be a good turnout and hopefully it will be a bit cooler this time and not so damn hot out. It would be cool even if some of you guys came down just to cruise and watch the races, not even have to take part in them.

Lets keep this one beak free, I just want to know if anyone is coming down.

Im hoping to make it up.

btw i really enjoy the drive to swift, the highways are pretty decent

Is it a 1/4 mile track? How many runs ish would one get in?

I believe I got 7 or 8 runs in last time. And its not just muscle cars there.. Last event there was a BONE STOCK 180sx on shitty tires running a 14.3. pretty good imo

and yes its 1/4 mile.

BUT, I will warn you now, you WILL have to travel about 10 mins on gravel to get to the strip..

It is 1/4 mile, in the morning when Robbie came down we made about 4 runs, then they gave us 3 more to test and tune, then the elimanation rounds begin at 12:00-12:30.

Even a clean 180sx came out last time!

they do more runs inbetween eliminations rounds aswell..

If i do decide to run I sure hope I dont break out first round again. that totally sucked

Who said we should dial in at 13.58 but nooooo! haha oh well man, you got some new bests for your car so I wouldn't complain at all. We just have to keep it cool and it will be good.

And yeah, test and toonm between rounds which you can usually get about 2 runs in.

I thought everyone but me agreed to dial in at 13.59? wtf!

btw, did you happen to see that big 1/2 ton truck doing like 30+ second pegleg burnouts? lmao. and then proceed to run like 18's

I said 13.59 then was like no its colder now lets try 13.58 and your dad was like nah, its warm out go higher. ha

As for that truck... oh man one tire fryer for so long, then did a 17.8 him vs that bone stock auto 99 civic was a good race haha.

sounds good. I will be there forsure as long as everything goes as planned. Hoping for low 14's !

You should definetly run your car, as long as its not too hot out and you can get some decent traction it should do pretty good as there a lot of 14 second or slower cars there. And should you need help with anything I would be glad to help.

Do it up! I will be there pushing Rob's GT, not because it is a ford but to keep it cool, hopefully we can do some 14.0's and do 100mph this time har har.
