So ill be picking up my car in a few weeks and was wondering peoples opnions on transporting it. Ill be driving it back yea but as far as percautionary measures for the exterior

should i just do the ol painters tape front end? another method

or am i just being anal and shouldnt care so much about rock chips

That being a little OCD, just dont drive behind semi's and avoid hazardous situations!!!

GTR has very high handling capabilities so you should be able to avoid anything thrown your way.... haha

also through alberta i heard they have speed cameras set up.

will i encounter any on the #1 highway?

what i was just asking because my friends dad drove through alberta going like 120 so 10 above the speed limit and he came home to find 6 speeding tickets all for 120 from all seperate cameras.

just dont wanna encounter any tickets ive never drove through alberta.

wtf is wrong with you corey? i was just asking advice on preventing chips and speeding tickets

green light camera's are only in the city. If you see a dodge or chrysler van with blacked out windows on the side of the road (pretty obvious) then slow down. They only get your speed as you pass them.

and so they park vans take your plate and speed and send you ticket? or pull you over like a cop

a transportation permit lasts you TWENTY FOUR HOURS.
You MUST buy one at the CLOSEST city at each provincial boarder for your insurance to still be valid. If you do not do this, you are fair game for being ticketed.
I went through this when we brought the wagon from BC.

dont listen to a BMW owner, when i got my GSX from calgary all i had to do was buy temporary insurance here for 12 dollars and a trasit permit that lasted 5 days for 22 dollars

my father was able to get a license plate valid for 14 days in order to transport his vehicle here.
