| My car was hardly misfireing before with a Bosch Super f 7 l c 0 r 2 with stock plug gap of 0.7mm but now that i gaped my plugs to .8 hoping to get rid of all the misfire, its running like one of those north end.......... half throttle skylines jk. Im running 12 pounds of boost So should i just re gap my plugs back to 0.7 even though GTRCanada tells me anywhere from 0.8 to 1.1? Or should i go back to the plugs that came with the car which are NGK Ridiums bcpr6eix which came out of my car gaped at 1.05 ? Which heat range should i be in and what should i gap either the NGK's or Bosch's too? | |

| maybe with the larger gap, the boost is blowing out the spark? Its a common problem on older turbo'd cars. Maybe not so much on a skyline? sparkplugs are usually good to go for atleast 30,000-60,000 kms. | |

| work with a gap that works with your motor,
also 12 psi and 200ish whp will not need colder-than-stock plugs

| no, im not sure that they are good other then no red dust! (how would i check more specifically?)
Which would you guys recommend
1) regap Bosch plugs to what they where ? 2) change to the ngk ridiums because they are better for skylines? 3) go by stock skyline NGK's which are PFR5A

| Alright, so i once again have all the piping and coils and covers and etc off!
Should i gap the NGK to .8 and throw them in or the Bosch to .8 and throw them in?
OR should i go buy stock plugs
I sprayed both sets of plugs with brake klean and both sets look healthy

| I kind of agree with marshal. But i would go buy new stock plugs, make sure they are gapped at stock specs or whatever, and try those. | |

I sprayed both sets of plugs with brake klean and both sets look healthy sparkplugs dont outright fail. unless you've dropped them or something. I highly doubt iridium/platinum plugs would be "better" for your car, becasue it has been recored that platinum plugs do not like to run rich(as in a turbo situation). Gap your plugs to stock specifications and test, only removing your plugs when the engine in stone cold. Like JP said, chech your coils with an ohm meter. Check for loose grounds as well.
