Well, I am going to give you my honest review. I am sure you will talk to some people and theirs well differ. So I understand that Dylan has been around for a avery long time and for him performing the same songs over and over again must get tiresome. So songs evolve and change over time but it is a little frustrating when you can't understand them. Not to mention how it seemed like Dylan only did post song electric movement songs. As I said earlier, he was exceptionally hard to understand... maybe that is because he is getting older or maybe a gimmick?
The set list was lacking a bit.... I read a review about his latest tour before I went so I was expecting it. The author commented that at times Dylan seems resentful to towards the audience that made him famous. I could see it for sure after being at the show, he seemed to play alot of unpopular songs. Most concerts I have been to the artist or group usually walk a fine line between both new and old material. For example when I saw Dylan's Wilboughry friend (Petty) he just played hit after hit and intergraded some new songs. I guess it just seemed smug of Dylan to not play songs like shelter from the storm or the times are changing as it would appease the audience that he may not like. He only spoke to the audience once and that was to introduce his band.
He did play for about two hours straight so that was ok, but for me the concert was nothing to write home about. At least I can scratch Dylan of my list of artists to see.
