| Do you think that this is accurate or that octane boosters only serve the purpose of stoping pre ignition but dont add HP or do add HP or do you think its all BS????????????????????????? |

| They don't help unless you need it. Its like running 91 octance gas in your ford tempo. Its not programed to take advantage of it, so it won't. I imagine if your car had a need for higher than premium octance, these would help.. How much, I don't know |

| I didnt bother watching the video, but most octane boosters are a waste of money. They only raise the octane by one tenth of an octane point, yet claim one point. The only octane booster on the market that does anything is the NOS Reacing formula booster, which raises your octane by 3 full points, or 30 regular octane booster points.
Sorry if this isnt even relevant, i just didnt want to watch the video haha. |

According to the video, NOS Octane Booster causes a -2% power decrease |

| In reality octane booster will add power and torque in a car that can accommodate for it. Most cars use knock sensors to pull timing when knock is detected. Very few actually have the ability to add timing if 0 knock is found. Thats why you see some cars such as the hyundai genesis v8 make 368hp on 87 octane, and 375hp on 91 octane. Also 1 point is just that .1 10 points of octane is 1.0 |

| Octane booster does shit all for power. For non-computer contolled engines, and pretty much almost every computer controlled vehicle on the market.
Octane booster does not add power at all. (Even if you have to run higher than 91 octane, these octane boosters don't give you enough points to do anything) Just like when you put premium in your vehicle it does not give you more power.
So many people think that the higher their octane the more power they will have, tons of people think putting premium in their car will add power. Well it doesn't.
Only reason for higher octane levels is for high-compression engines. The more octane the faster it will ignite, therefore reduces detonation.
The only way it will add power is if your vehicle is like the one that RyanR is talking about, solely based on timing settings. |

Fixed it for you, everything you said is spot on except that higher octane fuels burn at a slower rate. Which is why you can increase spark advance. |
