- If a car show enthusiast accidentally jumps onto a drifting forum, chances are he’ll be annihilated within minutes of his first post. If a drag racer tries to show off his latest creation on a forum full of J-style worshippers, there will probably be a pack of keyboard warriors ready to flame him for building a car that’s only fast in a straight line. And what’s even worse is that traces of racism are starting to surface as people pigeon-hole specific car trends to ethnicities.
well said right there. | |

| That is a really good article and it makes a lot of good points. I guess everyone can take comfort in knowing that it happens everywhere.
That being said where do you draw the line between what is accepted and what is not? (I know that sounds awful, but allow me to explain)
In a perfect a world we accept everyone for everything that they do. However, even in his article all of his examples seem to be people at the top of their game. How do we account for those that do more damage to the scene then good? I would hate to see this article become a blanket sanctuary for anyone with their $10 aluminum wings, ect. ect.
So with that being said a little bit of E-hate isn't always a bad thing. ( in moderation) It is like preservation for the scene that everyone worked so hard to build. Don't get me wrong, sometimes people deserve a pass but other times people need to be reminded that they are being awful or are doing awful things. In the end accepting everyone means accepting awful cars which is just harmful to the scene as flaming everyone.
The biggest benefit of our local scene is we can't really afford to discriminate too much. If we all only hung out in respective groups I would only talk to like 6 people and Brayden would spend all of his time talking to himself in the mirror.
In the end Charles Kha manifesto creates a double edge sword, but I do think tolerance needs to be a little bit more predominant on the net. Also people need to meet more in person (although not always possible) that usually makes things better. | |

| Like I said in an ideal world it would be great and it is has its merit. But he is a senior editor for Speedhunters. Not only the best automotive blog in the world but the most well funded. He gets to see things and do things that we could only dream about. So he is pretty far removed from awful.

| I like a lot of different styles and looks, I have a love for drift cars but still love hondas. I like japanese cars but appreciate muscle cars. It's the half ass idiots who because they have a car assume they know what it means to be a part of the car scene that ruin it for everyone else | |
