they have done my manifold, turbine housing, and downpipe as well as about 12 other pieces on friends cars

This. I was just at my old work looking at a few manifolds that just got back from there, they all turned out really nice.

if you use canadian tire paint... i used professional paint once and it turned out good

Not too many paints are going to stay on a turbo manifold for very long, even ones you pay good bucks for. They will just last longer, but eventually they will be gone too.

Im not talking about paint that can take heat. Im talking about coatings that are applied to absorb heat, to help cut down bay temps.

look for HPC thermal coatings. full-race does them for an extra $150 on their manifolds they sell. and they come in silver or black Very Happy

Ok Semantics aside, your "coating" is still painted on. And I meant ceramic coatings as well. They just last longer, but pretty much nothing will stay on there forever. It will just look nice for a few years whereas BBQ/ High Heat paint will only look nice for a week or so,

what about heat wrap.... it may not look as cool as coating but will be more effecting

if you are getting it ceramic coated, dont wrap with header wrap.
